Day 12 - For the kids

WHERE THE WILD THINGS ARE
The children's section of Avid Reader became its own store in March of this year, and host frequent events including book signings and launches. They also run several different book clubs, for all ages and interests. The staff are amazing, and their books range from gorgeous picture books to YA novels, you'll find something for your young avid readers. 

CREATIVE KIDS BRISBANE
Creative school holiday workshops for kids 3-12 years allows them to explore different art forms, including clay, sculpture, painting and illustration. Bookings can be made via the website, and the current school holiday program is also online!

QUEENSLAND PERFORMING ARTS CENTRE 
QPAC has lots of great performances, including George's Marvelous Medicine, The Tiger that came to Tea and Carnival of the Animals, playing over the school holidays. A great opportunity to introduce kids to dance, circus and theatre.

QUEENSLAND MUSEUM
The museum always runs school holiday programs - this January, kids can step back to the Middle Ages to create their own stained glass windows and personal heraldic flags at Medieval Manor. Session dates and times are listed on the website.
