Day 4 - For the Foodies

Noosa Chocolate Factory is a choco-holic's dream. Australian fruits and nuts, from Bowen Mango to Victorian blueberries, coated in dark, milk, or white chocolate. They also cater to most dietary requirements, with all dark chocolate products being 100% vegan, and with a range of gluten-free options. FYI - their famous rocky road is both vegan and GF! All of their products are also palm-oil free. You can buy by the block or fill yourself a little bucket if you can't choose just one flavour.

For some reason (not that I'm complaining), Brisbane has been infected with doughnut fever over the past 12 months. With increasingly outlandish flavours (ice-cream cones made from doughnuts seems a bit excessive to me...), new doughnut distributors seem to be popping up every other week. Three stand out to me in terms of quality and consistency: Donut Boyz, The Doughnut Bar and Doughnut Time. If your foodie friend or family member has a sweet tooth, a big ol' box of do(ugh)nuts could make a great gift.

Recently opened on Montague Road in West End, The Stores is part fancy supermarket and part restaurant, bringing the best fresh produce and local wines and cheeses from the Lockyer Valley in one location. Why not put together a gift basket or a Christmas picnic with cheeses, cold cuts, olives, wine...?
